Getting involved

The joy of serving

“If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.” (Romans 12:4-8)

For our church to function at its best, we need everyone to be willing to use their gifts. Whether your instinct is to be a behind-the-scenes helper, a giver, a prayer supporter, a leader, or any of the other roles within our community, please be encouraged to get involved and discover the joy of serving your church family. To offer your help or discuss how you could get involved, please contact us.

Music and audiovisual

We enjoy a variety of music across our services. We are indebted to the audio-visual team, which often includes our young people at various services. Our four churches also come together to form a Christmas choir, which is particularly prominent at our annual ‘Carols by Candlelight’ service held at St Peter's Church. Church bells ring on Sundays at some of our churches as well as for weddings and other special occasions. Inkberrow also enjoys the sound of bell-ringing practice on Thursday evenings.

The church makes a lovely venue for concerts and we are privileged to showcase both local talent and performers from further afield.

Keeping it beautiful

We’re privileged to worship in beautiful surroundings. The Fabric Committees of our various churches work hard to keep our churches and grounds safe and fit for purpose. The various Churchyard Teams hold various working parties throughout the year. Further teams keep our churches looking their best. Fresh flowers in church are provided by volunteers and remind us of God’s creation throughout the year and, in some cases, are helpful to volunteers in acting as a living memorial for their loved ones.

Extra hands are always both needed and welcome, so whether you have a particular skill or just a couple of hours to spare once in a while, please contact us if you feel able to help.
